About Chris…

Chris has been playing bass since the tender age of 11, jamming with his dad’s jazz funk band at 14 and even touring Europe with named artists at 16.
A graduate of The Musician’s Institute, his playing has featured on TV adverts, radio jingles, elevator music and hit recordings ever since and he has played on stages all over the world, from Bognor to Hong Kong.
A lifelong funk and disco fan, this seasoned session musician and music teacher has worked with 70’s disco legends Shirley Jones and Sister Sledge, 80’s Icon Yazz, platinum selling producer Mark ‘Artful Dodger’ Hill and 90’s groups The Spice Girls and All Saints.
He is currently first-call bassist for US soul stars Archie Bell and Glenn Jones as well as maintaining a career as the in-house bassist for Lovetown Music, based in Bath, Igloo Studios in Hampshire and is a director of tuition company Igloo Music in Portsmouth.
He also composes music for film and TV, working for companies in the UK  and Europe, as well as the USA.
